On Thursday, August 22, 2024, our Grenadiers of Ouanaminthe FC, participating in this Cup for the first time, faced the team of Port of Spain AC, participating in this Cup for the second consecutive year, on the field of the Stade Moca 85 in the Dominican Republic, as part of the 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup.

In the first half, Haiti went on the offensive early and scored in the 1st minute with a shot from outside the box by Frantz Moise, but Port of Spain goalkeeper Denzil Smith blocked the attempt.

Grenadier Widjoly Minoche shot from the penalty area in the 28th minute, but was blocked by defender Weslie John.

Shackiel Henry gave AC Port of Port of Spain the lead in the 34th minute with a header in front of the goal following a corner chance (1-0).

In the 45th minute, Weslie John almost extended the lead with a header from another AC Port of Spain corner, but the effort was deflected.

After the break, Joseph Willinx equalised for Haiti in the 52nd minute after taking advantage of a loose ball in the penalty area.

Jovenel Stanley Junior tried to extend Haiti’s lead in the 79th minute, but his shot was deflected.

Roobens Philogène almost scored the winning goal for Haiti in the 90th+5 minute, but his attempt from midfield went wide of the left post.
