Sheffield CCTV appealed after attack on off-duty officer

Police have released surveillance images of a group of three men and two women they want to speak to after an off-duty officer was reportedly beaten in Sheffield.

The incident occurred outside the LYKKE restaurant in New Square at around 6pm (BST) on August 3, South Yorkshire Police said.

A group of people had behaved aggressively towards two off-duty officers. One of them was then punched by a man before the group allegedly fled the scene.

The police are asking anyone who can help identify the members of the group to come forward.

One of the men was described as white, between 30 and 35 years old, approximately 5’10” tall, with a slim build, short brown hair and stubble.

The second man was white, between 40 and 50 years old, about 5’10” tall, of a strong build, and had short, graying brown hair.

The third man was white, 25 to 30 years old, about 1.88 m tall, slim and had short brown hair and stubble.

One of the women is said to have been white, 35-40 years old, 1.70 m tall, slim and with shoulder-length, blonde bob-style hair.

The other woman was described as white, 45 to 50 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, of large build and with long dark brown or black hair, police said.
