PING unveils Team Europe’s Solheim Cup uniforms
PING today announced the official 2024 Solheim Cup team uniforms to be worn by reigning Cup champions Team Europe at the upcoming event at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia, USA, September 13-15.
Following the successful collaboration in 2021 and 2023, the European Solheim Cup team will once again be dressed from head to toe in functional PING clothing.
Day one
The official uniform has a classic European touch and is a bold shade of blue with a white background and yellow accents. Both the polo shirt and mid-layer make a strong statement with a sporty stripe design on the sleeves that incorporates the European stars into the pattern. New to the uniform this year is a hybrid hooded jacket in stylish white with ‘Team Europe’ printed on the right sleeve, ensuring players look smart on and off the pitch.
Day two
The day two design features dynamically placed star tape details on the sleeves, giving these performance-focused garments a clean, sporty look. Players can wear either the tournament cap or the fishing hat to complete the outfit – both featuring a centered Solheim Cup logo and a winning hue of metallic gold around the blue ‘Team Europe’ tape.
Day three
To end the week, the Sunday uniform delivers a winning look. Both the polo shirt and waistcoat take centre stage and feature a striking yellow star detail on the back. Yellow embellishments can be seen throughout the garments along the zips – under plackets, collars and pockets – giving the final day outfit a modern and elegant finish.
Commenting on the designs, Fiona Reilly, Global Creative Director of PING, said: “PING’s apparel design and development team worked closely with Team Europe Captain Suzann Pettersen to ensure the uniform would inspire athletes and make them proud to represent Europe.”
It is of paramount importance that the garments look and feel good and the feedback we have received from the team over the last few years has always been very positive and has included comments on the comfort of the fabrics.
We are excited to see the team in this year’s kits, with all models featuring the Team Europe logo – the three stars represent Team Europe’s last three consecutive wins. There is also a smaller star in the letter ‘O’ of the word ‘Europe’ to motivate the team to achieve a record four wins in a row.”
The garments are only available online at www.pingeurope.com from today.
