Benefit concert “Kyler’s Big Heart” on September 7th with Jacquie Roar in the Garibaldi event tent; tickets are selling fast!

The Kyler’s Big Heart benefit concert will take place on September 7, 2024 in Garibaldi Harbor. The headliner of this event is country singer Jacquie Roar. Jacquie is a family friend of Dennis and Amanda Cavitt. From the stage at the Oregon Jamboree to performing with music legends such as Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride,
Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay and more – Jacquie Roar has been tirelessly making a name for herself in the music industry. Her journey finally began when she got the call to compete on season 24 of the American reality singing competition The Voice. In her national debut, Jacquie Roar delivered a stunning rendition of “Here for the Party” by
Gretchen Wilson, who caught the attention of all four coaches with a “four-chair turn”.
Jacquie’s journey through the competition was marked by her determination and ultimately earned her a respectable 4th place in the 2023 final. Jacquie will be supported by Scott Casey and the Gentleman Bandits. Doors open at 5:00pm and music starts at 5:30pm. Food will be provided by Patrick and Amanda King from Country Squire Kitchen.

May 29, 2024 Kyler Warren Cavitt died unexpectedly from heart complications. Kyler was a healthy 28-year-old man with plenty of life left. Kyler had no pre-existing medical conditions but died from complications of an enlarged heart. According to the Mayo Clinic, “Sudden cardiac death is rare in apparently healthy people under the age of 35. It is more common in men than in women. Cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in young adults. One in 50,000 young adults dies each year.” This event is a fundraiser to establish a foundation to increase heart awareness through educational information, donations to local emergency responders for increased training on the signs of heart problems, and new equipment. The goal is to have an annual event to raise awareness of this issue, with all profits going to the foundation. Corporate sponsors for this event include: Visit Tillamook Coast, Pacific Edge Espresso, Five Rivers Assisted Living, Scott Casey Productions. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Cynthia Casey at 503-812-3861. Tickets are available through Eventbrite. Tickets are $24, $12 for children ages 4-17, and free for those under 3. Food, wine, and beer will be available for purchase. Kyler was a very kind person. He was the first born with two younger sisters and was the definition of the “great protector.” His family was his anchor and compass for his path in life. Kyler was a high school athlete, gamer, outdoorsman, and an amazing cookie baker. He had just begun a career as a carpenter in Arizona when he passed away. He is survived by his mother Gengee Ramirez, father Dennis Cavitt, sisters Kayla and Kitt Cavitt, stepfather Jose Inez Ramirez, stepmother Amanda Cavitt, grandparents Kenneth Smith, Bob and Carol Cavitt, and Linda Wall. He also leaves behind his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be greatly missed, but his impact on so many lives will live on. Kyler was an organ donor and was able to support over 30 people, including many from overseas, with organ donations. Please attend the benefit concert to continue the charity in Kyler’s honor.
