Electric City Water Park closes for the season (with one exception)

Saturday, August 24th is the last day of summer operations at Electric City Water Park in Great Falls (including Mitchell Pool and Lazy River).

And although Electric City Water Park is closed to humans after Saturday, it will be open one more time this season – for dogs, as it hosts its annual Drool in the Pool event on Saturday, September 7.



The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The city has provided the following information in a press release:

What to expect: Drool in the Pool is the ultimate dog-friendly pool party where dogs can splash, swim and have a loud time in a specially designated area of ​​Electric City Water Park. The event features a wide range of activities designed to entertain both pets and their human companions, including:

  • Water Activities: Let your dogs dive in and enjoy the cool water while showing off their best dog paddles.
  • Fun on land: paw print painting, sniffing games and more to keep all four-legged visitors entertained.
  • Educational booths: Mini educational booths provide valuable information on the care and welfare of pets.
  • Vendor Fair: Various vendors offer pet-related products and services, including treats, toys and more.

Note: The Splash Pad is not operational during Drool in Pool
Entrance: Cash or credit card, CC has 3% transaction fee:

  • 6 USD per dog
  • 3 USD per person
  • Proof of current vaccinations is required for all dogs, including rabies, parvovirus and distemper. Vaccination records can be presented in paper or digital form

The Great Falls Park & ​​Recreation Department also announced that the lap pool and recreation pool at Scheels Aim High Big Sky Aquatic & Recreation Center will be closed Monday, August 26 and Tuesday, August 27 for mechanical upgrades.
