Amber Alert issued for missing 12-year-old girl from Nacogdoches

UPDATE: 6:40 p.m. – Nacogdoches Police report the missing child has been found and is safe. Roselyn is currently being reunited with her family.

An Amber Alert was issued at the request of the Nacogdoches Police Department.

Officials are asking the public to be on the lookout for Roselyn Navaeh Smith, who was last seen around 7:40 a.m. Thursday morning near the intersection of Tanglewood Circle and Tangleberry Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Roselyn is a 12-year-old black female. She has black hair and brown eyes. Roselyn is 5’11” tall and weighs about 120 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a black shirt with the word “QUEEN” written on it in gold letters, blue denim shorts, black shoes and diamond earrings. She carried a backpack, a shoulder bag and a clarinet.

If you see anyone matching this description in the area or have any information, call 911 immediately and, if possible, keep an eye on the person until police arrive.

Previously, Nacogdoches Police posted a statement on their Facebook page asking residents to be on the lookout for a vehicle that may be connected to the kidnapping.

However, Nacogdoches police have now announced that they are no longer looking for the Chevy truck.
