Pakistan removes intruders from Gurdwara and temple premises

Amritsar: Pakistan‘s Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), decided in a meeting on Thursday, Intruders out of Gurdwara And temple Characteristics.
ETPB spokesman Mohayudin said the board has sanctioned funds to purchase heavy machinery to remove encroachments. ETPB reports show that over 50% of the land in Nankana Sahib, which was attributed to Baba Nanak, is encroached. Hindu sites in Lahore are facing similar problems. Officials said strict legal action would be taken against the occupiers.

A monitoring committee set up by the Supreme Court inspected several unnotified roads in Delhi and found extensive commercial use of land in violation of MPD2021 and UBBL. Authorities were directed to take immediate action against encroachments and report their actions. The inspection focused on areas like Chhatarpur, Rajpur Khurd and others and highlighted unauthorised activities and encroachments on DDA land.
BMC to double the number of encroachment inspectors
The BMC plans to double the number of its inspectors to support its anti-encroachment drive, which has been ongoing since July. The initiative aims to create encroachment-free zones across the city near railway stations, schools and hospitals. Currently, 107 inspectors are deployed and there are plans to recruit another 118 to strengthen enforcement.
