Emotions ran high when Molly and TJ buried their daughter in the August 22, 2024 episode of General Hospital, but Kristina’s was the highest.

Surprise guest

Everyone gathered at the church to comfort Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and TJ (Tahj Bellow, who chatted with SoapHub about his character’s heartbreaking loss) during baby Irene’s funeral, but when the sight of the tiny coffin became too much, Molly ran out of the church crying. That’s when an unexpected guest approached her.

Ric (Rick Hearst, returning to GH today after eight years) consoled his daughter and brought her back to the church as everyone sat down for the service. After secretly revealing that she named the baby Adela after Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) mother, Kristina (Kate Mansi) was the most upset during the funeral, interrupting Jordan (Tanisha Harper) to give her own speech, then sobbing as they prepared to walk to the grave.

Battle of the Baby Mamas

One by one, they left a pink rose on the baby’s gravesite. Kristina was the last to approach her and said, “I love you, my sweet Adela.” Those words turned Molly’s despair into anger as she turned and asked Kristina what she had just named her daughter.

The sisters argued at the baby’s grave, and while Kristina insisted that the loss had devastated her, Molly urged her sister to give up the role of grieving mother and eventually blamed her for being the reason for her baby’s death.
