Actress Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones, the fast-paced saga) is having a big year. In September she plays the lead role in Big citythe first theatrical release of director Francis Ford Coppola in 13 years, and on August 23rd it will The Killerthe reinterpretation of the 1989 Hong Kong action classic of the same name by director John Woo.

While The Killer Emmanuel’s first leading role in an action film, as she was already in the thick of it after playing Harriet in the Maze Runner Movies, Missandei in game of Thronesand Ramsey in the semifinals Fast Saga Films. However, starring in an action film with John Woo could make anyone a little nervous, as Emmanuel shared NBC Insider recently.

While Emmanuel plays Ramsey, a British computer hacker and programmer, since Angry 7it is usually shown behind a keyboard. It takes up to F9 for her character to reveal that she does not know how to drive, which is pretty much the currency of the empire in the Fast Family.

In Fast XEmmanuel finally sees some action, but still not nearly what she is supposed to do in The Killer. As a contract assassin, Zee, known in the Parisian underworld as the “Queen of the Dead,” uses virtually any weapon in existence to complete her assignments, be it a sword, a gun, any household object, or even her thighs. But after showing kindness to one of her potential victims, she suddenly finds herself on the run – not only from the police, but also from her dangerous contract assassin colleagues.

When asked if she could share anything from her Fast Family experience that helped her in her role in The murderer, Emmanuel introduced us to the concept of WWMRD: “What would Michelle Rodriguez do?”

Rodriguez is the grande dame of Fast Films, featured as Letty Ortiz in 2001 The Fast and the Furious, and she is still successful in the franchise today.

“To be honest, I have to give credit to Michelle Rodriguez because for me, I don’t exist without her,” Emmanuel explained. “There was even a moment when I was facing some challenges and was unsure of myself. I called her and she gave me such great advice. She was really supportive. She was ready. This community of people, not just Michelle, just give and offer their advice and support. I’m so grateful to her and to them too.”
