What are the future host cities for the Presidents Cup?
The 2024 Presidents Cup is just around the corner. The best players from the United States and the rest of the world (excluding Europe) will compete against each other from September 26 to 29 at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Canada.
This is the second time that the Presidents Cup has been held on the Montreal course. The last time the event was held in 2007, the USA won the Internationals 19.5-14.5.
Several golf courses have hosted the Presidents Cup more than once, but after this year, the legendary event will break new ground for the next three editions.
The 2026 Presidents Cup will be played at the Medinah Country Club in Chicago, which has hosted numerous major tournaments over the years, including three U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships and the 2012 Ryder Cup.
“We look forward to presenting the 2026 event from Chicago, one of the world’s greatest sports and global cities, and the historic Medinah Country Club,” said PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan.
The 2028 Presidents Cup will then be held in Australia at the Kingston Heath Golf Club, one of the most famous venues in the famous Melbourne Sandbelt.
It is the event’s fourth visit to Melbourne; the Royal Melbourne Golf Club has hosted it three times before: in 1998, 2011 and 2019.
Kingston Heath has hosted the Australian Open seven times and has also hosted the Australian Masters, the Women’s Australian Open and the World Cup of Golf.
“The Sandbelt region is home to some of golf’s most iconic venues and Kingston Heath has proven itself to be a world-class host to a number of golf’s biggest tournaments,” said Matt Rap, PGA Tour Senior Vice President of Championship Management.
“We look forward to taking part in an incredible Presidents Cup that Australians can be immensely proud of and which will showcase Kingston Heath to golf fans around the world.”
The last confirmed future venue is the Bellerive Country Club; the course in St. Louis is scheduled to host the Presidents Cup in 2030.
Bellerive has a rich history as a host to prestigious PGA Tour events, including the 1965 US Open, two PGA Championships and the 2008 BMW Championship.
“St. Louis is a passionate and iconic sports city that embraces teams and events like the Presidents Cup with tremendous enthusiasm,” Monahan said.
“The combination of St. Louis and Bellerive Country Club will be an unforgettable experience for local fans and spectators around the world.”
Venues for the Presidents Cup after 2030 have yet to be announced.
