(dmk) Candlebox have announced that their most successful single “Far Behind” has landed at number 3 on the Billboard Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart 30 years after its initial release. The track remains stable at number 3 through the sales week of August 24th. “Far Behind” was originally released in April 1994 on the band’s debut album of the same name and reached numbers 4 and 7 on the Billboard Rock Tracks and Modern Rock Tracks, and number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Candlebox’s latest effort follows the July 12 release of A Little Longer Goodbye (Tour Edition) via Roundhill Records, the deluxe digital version of The Long Goodbye album. The deluxe digital release includes the record’s 12 tracks plus two bonus live songs, including “Elegante” and “Cellphone Jesus” (recorded at Club Amanda in Santiago, Chile on October 27, 2023), as well as the official release of the single “Washed Up.” The band is also in the midst of their successful tour with Bush and Jerry Cantrell on the “Loaded: The Greatest Hits Tour.”

“It amazes me that ‘Far Behind’ still resonates across the decades,” said Kevin Martin, frontman of Candlebox. “Its lyrics and melodies are as poignant today as they were then. Thirty years later, it resonates with a new generation, proving that true art is timeless and captures the complexity of life in a way that never fades. I’m truly amazed.”
