Lost in Random: The Eternal Die announced, a rogue-lite sequel will be released in 2025 for PS5
Lost in Random, the cult hit Tim Burton-style action-adventure game, is getting a sequel. The game is called Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, is being developed by Thunderful (which now owns the studio Zoink Games), and will be released for PS5 sometime in 2025. Interestingly, the sequel explores a new genre, placing the realm of Random in a rogue-lite structure.
As the Queen of Chance trapped in the titular Eternal Die, you explore new, randomly generated worlds alongside her companion Fortune. Your task is to escape the Eternal Die, fighting your way through each tabletop and board game-inspired environment and gaining upgrades to improve your chances. The game is played from a top-down perspective, clearly inspired by games like Hades, but retaining the cartoonish, gothic look of the first game.
It actually makes a lot of thematic sense to introduce rogue-lite elements into this series set in a world where chance and probability reign supreme. We’re excited to see how that plays out and how the world of Lost in Random evolves when it releases next year.
