This includes a record seven world titles, currently held jointly with Stephen Hendry, and Ronnie has already stated that he is keen to get ahead of himself.

His fantastic snooker career has made him one of the richest players of all time, with a net worth of almost £20 million.

And he could even improve his performance if he holds out to the end in Xi’an and is well positioned for it.

After sweeping Hossein Vafaei 5-0 in the quarter-finals, O’Sullivan comfortably advanced to the quarter-finals of the Chinese Grand Prix.

With a total pot of £850,000, the winner of the tournament takes home the biggest piece of the pie at £177,000.

There is also a £5,000 bonus for whoever makes the highest break.

“I can’t keep playing snooker against the young guys and commit to it game after game. I don’t want to play just for the sake of playing,” he said in November 2023.

“I want to keep playing for the next 10 to 15 years, earn a living and have fun.

“I like travelling to China, the sport is obviously very popular there.

“But I just have to see what my sponsors are like because at the moment they are sponsoring me as a snooker player but I am trying to find out if they will sponsor me as a pool player as well.”
