When Nedoroscik’s participation in the dance competition was announced on GMA, the segment began with the Olympic bronze medalist performing a floor routine, showing off his famous pommel horse skills.

Nedoroscik became a media darling during the Paris Olympics when cameras caught him meditating on the sidelines while waiting to perform on the pommel horse.

He said on GMA that he may need to continue his meditation routine before the performance for Dancing with the stars“I actually think so,” he said. “It’s kind of the thing I do to calm myself down, so I’ll probably bring it to the dance floor.”

Nedoroscik also said that he might wear his famous Clark Kent glasses while dancing on the show, but he would “have fun with it” by coming up with a contraption to keep them in place.

The Penn State graduate not only won an individual bronze medal for his performance, but also helped the U.S. men’s gymnastics team secure its first team medal (bronze) in 16 years.

Given his popularity, there has already been speculation that Nedoroscik’s next stop will be in DWTS Social gymnastics, where he was the first male gymnast ever to wear Danskins.

The rest of the cast for season 33 will be announced at a later date.

Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will return as co-hosts, while Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will again serve as judges when DWTS returns on September 17 at 8:00 p.m. EDT.

Dancing with the stars is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.
