Diana Tsoy, who played Toph in a Avatar: The Last Airbender Fanfilm, has confirmed that she will not be portraying the character in Season 2 of the Netflix live-action series, explaining the casting process for the show. Tsoy previously portrayed the blind earthbender in a fan-made 2022 concept trailer for the character. Since then, there has been speculation online that she would be portraying her in Season 2 of the Netflix live-action series. Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2. However, Netflix had not confirmed anything, nor was it announced whether she was being considered for the role.

Now Tsoy has posted a video confirming that she will not play Toph in Netflix. Avatar: The Last Airbender despite her fan film role, explains the casting process for the series.


In the video, she explains how she has been pursuing the role since 2021, when Season 1 of the series was filmed. Ultimately, however, she did not get the role, but hopes that viewers will still support Seasons 2 and 3, no matter which actor is chosen to play the young earthbender.
