In the Owl’s Den, Season 9, Episode 2

BOCA RATON, Florida. – Season 9 of Florida Atlantic football’s “Inside the Owls Burrow” airs this week on Thursday, August 22 at 4:30 p.m. and repeats on Saturday, August 24 at 11:30 a.m. The show is broadcast by Bally Sports Florida but can also be viewed on fausports.com and YouTube.

Host, producer and longtime South Florida commentator Frank Forte will once again give Florida Atlantic fans a comprehensive look at Owl football.

This week, Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Tom Herman concludes training camp and announces the four captains of the 2024 team. Cornerback “Buggs” Kahzir Brown is in, wide receiver Milan Tucker is called “Wired For Sound,” and the show will be part of a team meeting with guest speaker, former NFL quarterback Danny Kanell.


Inside the Owls Burrow also includes an update on the defensive back Courtney Lamas Lanierin the summer with the Wilma Rudolph Award. The award is given to student-athletes who have overcome major personal, academic or emotional obstacles to pursue their goals as a college student-athlete.

The Florida Atlantic football team’s first home game will be Saturday, September 7th at FAU Stadium against Army West Point. The Owls will celebrate Military Appreciation Day when the Black Knights come to Boca Raton. For more information, click HERE.

FAU Alumni and Community Engagement will host two away events. The first will be on Oct. 19 when the Owls travel to San Antonio to face host UTSA. The second will be in Philadelphia before the Nov. 16 game against Temple. For more information, email [email protected].

Ken LaVicka and FAU alumnus Chris Newbold will anchor the broadcast, while Mike Mreczko will host pre- and post-game coverage.
