Everything we know so far about Janet Jackson’s new Las Vegas residence

“We are so excited to announce our new location at Resorts World Las Vegas, launching New Year’s week,” Jackson said in an Instagram post shared on August 21. “This is going to be a lot of fun and I look forward to spending the start of the new year with you!! We really can’t wait.”

The “Janet Jackson: Las Vegas” residency is scheduled to begin on Dec. 30 and continue with a New Year’s Eve show. Eight more performances are planned for 2025, including Valentine’s Day weekend. Tickets for all 10 performances will go on sale Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. PT on AXS.com.

“Janet Jackson is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in pop music,” said Bobby Reynolds, senior vice president of AEG Presents Las Vegas, according to Variety. “We couldn’t be happier to close out 2024 with her return to the Las Vegas Strip and her debut at our award-winning Resorts World Theater, and kick off 2025 with a series of shows that are sure to be unforgettable. This is a performance fans won’t want to miss.”

For Jackson’s Together Again Tour, she traveled across North America, Africa, Asia and Europe, performing a total of 96 shows. When the 2022 tour was announced, Jackson hinted that new music was coming, but that never happened.

“The pandemic and beyond, there were a few things I had to sort out in my backyard,” she said On Air with Ryan Seacrest in April. “After we get all this behind us, we will definitely get to work on releasing new music,” she said.

It has been nine years since Jackson’s last studio album, the Unbreakablewhich spawned the hit “No Sleep,” which peaked at number 18 on Billboard’s R&B charts. In 2018, she released “Made for Now” with Daddy Yankee, which received much praise for its unifying message.

Jackson’s most recent Las Vegas performance – 2019’s “Metamorphosis” at Park MGM – grossed nearly $13 million from 18 shows, making Jackson the fifth-highest-grossing artist in Las Vegas performance history.
