Meghan Markle has proven that she is the ultimate girl-girl

It was to absolutely no one’s surprise that Meghan Markle proved she’s a hair straightener with a sweet gesture in Colombia. During a panel at the Afro Women and Power Forum, Markle was caught on camera pretending to be the ultimate girl of all girls. In the middle of the panel, Markle got up from her seat and walked across the stage to adjust a fan so it was facing her and the other panelists.

After the royals stopped the ventilator, Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez began to praise Markle’s efforts. When her fellow speakers realized what was going on, they began to laugh. As Markle returned to her seat, she again demonstrated her Spanish skills – she had already shown off her language skills earlier in the event – by teasing “women helping women” in Spanish.

One of the other panelists praised Markle in the local language, saying: “Well done, thank you. And also thank you for (women) resolving the situation.”

Markle used the moment as an example of women’s problem-solving skills.

“When you see something is wrong, you try to fix it. Maybe that’s just a very female thing – whether it’s a fan or something else,” she said. “That’s what we do as women – we’re multitaskers and we’re problem solvers.”

During Markle and Prince Harry’s four-day visit to Colombia, the Duchess impressed with her colorful wardrobe that also contained several important meanings. During the aforementioned panel, Markle paid tribute to the country’s culture by wearing a colorful sequin skirt by Colombian designer Silvia Tcherassi. Markle also paid a fashion nod to her and Harry’s children Archie and Lilibet with an engraved gold necklace and took inspiration from her late mother-in-law Princess Diana by wearing her famous Cartier watch.
