The Elusive Samurai has been pushing its anime adaptation well, with Crunchyroll users flocking to the popular new series because of its stunning graphics and strong animation, and Episode #8 promises to maintain these standards. The latest developments take Tokiyuki and his Elusive Warriors out of the Suwa Grand Shrine, while Yorishige is taken out of his comfort zone, and Sadamune recruits a fearsome new asset to his forces. In the release of The Elusive Samurai In episode 8, Tokiyuki soon learns that his allies and their usual tactics are not enough against a particularly steadfast and dangerous opponent.

Tokiyuki Hojo survived the days after Takauji Ashikaga’s bloody coup in Kamakura well. But in The Elusive Samurai In episode 7 he learns that he and his allies are far from prepared for the dangers that lie ahead.

The young prince had had a small taste of revenge on the murderers of his people, but by saving even more innocents from a similar fate, he must even step out of the watchful eye of the god of his shrine. The Elusive Samurai releases new episodes of its anime with English subtitles every Saturday and simultaneously streams them on Crunchyroll for viewers outside Japan. Episode #8 will be released on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. PDT (12:00 p.m. EDT). Additionally, viewers were recently informed of Crunchyroll’s summer 2024 anime schedule, so they know they can enjoy the English dub of the anime. Episode #4 of the dub will be available on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. PDT (3:30 p.m. EDT).

What happened in episode 7 of The Elusive Samurai?

The elusive warriors meet an ally hungry for battle and rice

After the daring sabotage of Sadamune’s imperial orders to conquer the Suwa Shrine, Tokiyuki’s forces go into reconnaissance mode for The Elusive Samurai Episode #7. Observing Sadamune’s consolidated territory, which encloses Suwa from the east and west, they see an opportunity to observe Sadamune’s activities to the north. This prompts Tokiyuki to volunteer for the mission despite protests from Yorishige, who, in this case, cannot foresee the future, sulks uncontrollably and tries in vain to stop the young prince from venturing out.

In the process, the group comes into contact with Fubuki, a deadly dual-wielding samurai who, despite his young skills, easily takes on Ayako and Kojiro. However, when Fubuki sees Shizuku watching the fight, he stops to apologize for his behavior at her shrine. At one point, he has eaten the place’s food supplies, leaving Yorishige, an equally gluttonous man, angry and hungry. But Tokiyuki manages to take Fubuki into his fold while learning about the village he guards. an important outpost that stands in the way of an attack on the Great Shrine of Suwa.

In The Elusive Samurai In episode 7, the team learns of a general in Sadamune Ogasawara’s army who is aware of the strategic value of this attack, named Shokan. Shokan is a brutally violent bandit recruited as a warrior for the Ogasawara army. He has no qualms about who he kills in battle, and is shown executing innocent villagers en masse. In the release of The Elusive Samurai Episode #8, Tokiyuki and his allies will soon experience the power of their new enemy first hand.

Shokan reminds viewers what makes the best offense

Shizuku advises Tokiyuki to leave the village with his life, but he does not share this attitude, as he himself has witnessed the brutality towards other innocents and knows that he was the target all along. The Elusive Samurai In episode #8 he trains with Fubuki for the inevitable attack and learns what a strong teacher the young swordsman is. This leads to Fubuki teaches Tokiyuki an exciting new technique, the Demon Heart Buddha Bladeas indicated, before a big fight begins in The Elusive Samurai Episode No. 8.

Shokan, meanwhile, leads the attack on the village from multiple fronts, charging into battle fully armored. This simple change from the lightly armored opponents of the past will pose a challenge for the Elusive Warriors, as Tokiyuki experiences the different battle tactics that arise when the armor makes blocking unnecessary. In The Elusive Samurai Episode 8: Tokiyuki’s team launches an ambush to turn the tables on Shokan.
