Dancing in the rain, singing along and pizzas at Cantus
Hand on heart, chin up (or eyes on the textbook) and singing along to the Dutch national anthem – that’s how a cantus always begins. That applies to this one too.
The days when Cantus took place in Van der Goot’s exam hall are long gone. With the current five thousand participants, it wouldn’t fit anyway. So this sing-along party will be back in Ahoy this Tuesday.
Most students have no problems relaxing that evening. The mood is quickly built up. Standing on the benches is not allowed, nor is drinking outside the drink little brother drink Song. Forgetting that for a moment can happen to even the best of us. The former is addressed, the latter a little less so.
For some students, the music is too danceable to stand still. They started in line outside. Then in the rain, now in the warm Ahoi. Luckily, there are jugs of water ready.
At many tables, the “loot” was shown to the other groups. It was quite impressive, but there were even higher piles – okay, they fell over quickly.
Who organized this week? The week’s leaders pose for a group photo among the singing students.
Is a Cantus complete without fireworks? At least not this one. According to the singer of the Cantus band, this Eureka Week is a great start to the new year. This is where memories are made and friendships are formed.
This philanthropist may not have read the advice article “How to Survive Eureka Week.” This student was not the only one who base pizza More of them have been spotted, for example on the sidewalk and in the subway.
Before the evening was over for the Eurekaweek crew, they had to clean up. These tables and benches went back on the pile that same evening. This year it will be done at the Ahoy venue, who knows, next year.
