In response to the recent storm that hit the area earlier this month, the City of Valdosta Yard Trash Division will be extending its hours to accommodate increased demand for trash collection and debris removal.

Beginning the week of August 19, garbage collection will have extended hours to ensure timely service to all residents. This adjustment is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to providing a clean and safe environment for residents.

“After the recent storm, our team is committed to meeting the needs of our residents as quickly and efficiently as possible,” said Larry Ogden, Public Works Director. “By extending our hours, we aim to handle the increased volume of debris and ensure that all areas of the city are served promptly.”

Residents are asked to place their garbage and trash at the curb according to city guidelines and to observe extended hours to ensure their items are safely picked up.

For more information or questions regarding extended restroom hours, please contact the City of Valdosta Building Department at 229-259-3588.
