The ride or die tip for 2024 …

The ride or die tip for 2024 …

In today’s Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by Sleeper Fantasy:

In 2021, Matthews was Ride or Die selection for Fantasy Austin EkelerHe finished the season as RB2.

In 2022 he gave us Jalen injured before its outbreak.

Last year he planted the flag Amon-Ra St. Brownwho finished as WR3 in the overall standings.

And tomorrow we will find out who Matthew will ride or die with in 2024…

The official selection will be made Thursday at 3:00 p.m. ET as part of the 2024 Rotoworld Football Draft Marathon, which begins at 11:00 a.m. ET with the Fantasy Life Sirius XM show.

Yesterday Matthew asked for suggestions on who his pick should be on X, so I thought I’d join in the fun with a prediction.

We all know Matthew loves the Commanders. We also know he loves an underrated rushing QB (see: Ride or Die 2022).

I think this is the year Matthew combines his traditional fandom with his fantasy analysis by cementing rookie QB Jayden Daniels than his Ride Or Die.

Would that be a risky, slightly reckless choice? Absolutely. But would it be great fun? Yes.

Follow the fast paced production, Matthew. But more importantly, follow your heart.

The Fantasy Roundtable

Welcome back to the Roundtable! This season I’m going to try to get as many fantasy football analysts (and friends) as possible to give us their best advice, overreactions, and maybe even some life wisdom. It’s meant to be insightful, but also entertaining – so enjoy and follow everyone when you get the chance!

Today’s roundtable panelists include Paul Charchian, Director of Guillotine Leagues at Fantasy Life, and the always amazing Kelly Singh! Let’s get started…

What offenses could surprise us and produce more fantasy football value that are currently being overlooked?

Kelly: This won’t shock me, but the Arizona Cardinals are completely overlooked as an offensive player. Sure, people love Marvin Harrison Jr. And Trey McBridebut not everyone is so enthusiastic about Kyle Murray (born 1963 in New York City) is an American soccer star. He is the first American soccer player to ever retire… and that is what I think the fantasy community is missing out on. Stacking Kyler with MHJ (and in later rounds with Michael Wilson) is a great win for me! Even Greg Dortch will illuminate the field!

Paul: Carolina will be the most improved offense in the NFL. The team made several key additions in the offseason, none bigger than head coach Dave Canales. His well-documented success with Geno Smith And Baker Mayfield brings enormous hope for the career of Bryce Young (last chance to buy cheap from Young, Dynasty Leaguers!). Former Steeler Diontae Johnson brings separation to a wide receiver group that had difficulty breaking free last year. Jonathon Brooks will have healed sufficiently from his torn ACL to provide the explosiveness that the backfield has been lacking since then Christian McCaffrey’s Departure.

Second place: New England. Last year’s quarterback was terrible and either Jacoby Brissett or (preferably) Drake May will get massive upgrades. I expect a run-heavy attack that will finally replace the powerful running of Rhamondre Stevenson.

Kendall: There is potential for a few teams to surprise us this fantasy football season, but the Commanders seem to be an underrated team that could surprise us. First, Jayden Daniels still gets picked late in drafts! Right now he has an affordable ADP on ESPN (119), Yahoo (105), and NFFC (100). He has that dual-threat rushing potential that you can take advantage of if you can’t get one of the more “elite” fantasy quarterback options.

And although Daniels may not have the best pass predictions, Terry McLaurin is still very cheap for a WR1 in a new offense where Kliff Kingsbury could turn things around. I am also open to the selection Brian Robinson because Kingsbury has shown in the past that he is willing to ride a running back. Fantasy Life projects him to have 741 rushing yards, 178 receiving yards and six total touchdowns.
