Since 2020, when people started turning their attention to home decor, the mirror market has seen a surge in higher than expected demand, making finding an affordable standing mirror a little more of a challenge. Oversized standing mirrors can make a statement in any room as they can make small spaces appear larger and can instantly brighten up any space. They can also be placed anywhere, such as in awkward corners, against a bare wall, and in narrow hallways. And that’s why people love to put them in their closets for a full-length view, in bedrooms, living rooms, and anywhere that needs some dimension.

Costco and Sam’s Club expanded their home decor offerings when they began offers imitations of high-quality floor mirrors, such as Anthropologie’s Gleaming Primrose mirror, which sells for nearly $1,600. The retailer’s standing mirrors have gone viral thanks to their similar French antique design that comes at a much more affordable price. Read on to find out why we chose Sam’s Club’s standing mirror as the better deal.

Viral floor mirror from Costco or Sam’s Club?

People took notice when Costco and Sam’s Club released their knockoffs of the Anthropologie standing mirror. The Costco Ravena standing mirror is absolutely breathtaking, with Cast iron scrolls and a solid gold-plated metal frame. It is 65 inches tall and costs $149.99 in stock and $249 online. Still a far cry from Anthropologie’s standing mirror. It really sucks that the online price is $100 higher, especially for those who don’t have a warehouse nearby. Costco’s online product testers have also questioned the price difference.

The Filigree standing mirror Azalea Park from Sam’s Club is 72 inches tall and costs just under $150—a whopping $100 cheaper online than at Costco, which is reason #1 why it’s the better deal. This mirror is giving people sleepless nights because the rounded shape on the top makes it even more like the Anthropologie mirror than the Costco version. The mirror has gone viral several times and the retailer has not increased its price, at least not yet. Sam’s Club also has had this mirror on offerwhile Costco raised the price. And that’s reason number two why Sam’s Club is winning this battle of the standing mirrors.

Although the Azalea Park mirror is the better deal, it regularly sells out, so if your patience is running thin, head to Costco because they’ll let you lean this standing mirror against your wall until next week.

How to choose a standing mirror

Choosing the perfect standing mirror isn’t as easy as it sounds. Of course, shopping for mirrors is fun, but when it comes to buying one, it’s important to consider a few things. First, think about the size of the room you want the mirror to go in. You don’t want it to overwhelm the room, so the World Market Vintage Leaning Mirror is suitable for smaller spaces. It’s shorter and has a simple design that exudes a touch of class.

Second, the bigger the mirror, the easier it is to break, so even if you don’t have a small room but have kids, you don’t want a bulky standing mirror to get in the way. Thin mirrors are more versatile and practical. The Home Depot has a narrow mirror with a rounded top and hand-carved, vintage-inspired decorative accents that give off that Anthropologie vibe. And finally, what’s your budget? Standing mirrors come in a range of price points, from super-expensive to budget-friendly. Walmart’s 64-inch Filigree Arch Standing Mirror might be the most affordable option. The gold accents along the frame give it a little extra oomph. It’s made of high-quality materials and gets rave reviews, giving it a run for its money, giving Sam’s Club a run for its money.

However, if you’re looking to save money, the best option is to take a standing mirror you already have but don’t like anymore and create a DIY arch using TikTok’s pool noodle hack to give it a fresh update.
