Cycling Electric adds Demo Days event ahead of national series in September 2025 – News

The Cycling Electric Demo Days are set to become a nationwide series of events in 2025, with an additional event planned in Bath in 2024.

Organised by specialist consumer publisher Cycling Electric, the series was launched in spring 2024 at Lee Valley Velopark in London and is set to expand into a national series in 2025.

In addition, an additional date has been added for 2024: the event will take place on Sunday 29 September 2024 at the Odd Down Track in Bath.

The event, held in Odd Down, Bath, will offer consumers the chance to cycle on a closed tarmac loop. Brands confirmed for the event so far include Estarli, Tern Bicycles, Benno Bikes, Tenways, Riese and Müller and folding bike specialist Eovolt, with more brands expected to be added to this list in the coming weeks.

A national series in 2025

Commenting on the decision to extend the demo series, Mark Sutton, Editor of Cycling Electric, said: “There’s nothing better than trying an electric bike for the first time.

“As public awareness of e-bikes continues to grow, we want to do our part to make demo events accessible to people on their doorsteps.

“Our debut event in London confirmed the value of in-person demonstrations. What was particularly reassuring was the wide demographic that came to try out e-bikes of all kinds.”

Locations of the Demo Days 2025

Cycling Electric has now confirmed that there will be no fewer than four Demo Day events in 2025, including a repeat of the event at Lee Valley Velopark in London in April, a second outing in Bath also in the spring, a debut in Leeds in June and another event at Herne Hill Velodrome in September next year.

It is hoped that by expanding the range, the next generation of cyclists will be reached. And event marketing will not focus on existing cyclists, but will make a major effort to entice the general public to have their first demo experience.

Adrian Hogan, Sales Director at Cycling Electric, added: “Our brand partners in London reported a large number of sales leads to follow up and there wasn’t a bike not being ridden across all categories.

“Taking the next step and going national with the Demo Days series was the next logical step for the Cycling Electric brand and closely mirrors the progress of our sister title, Cyclist Track Days, which has already been a national demo series for many years.”
