Passers-by had quickly rushed to help the girl, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Queensland Ambulance Service acting director of clinical operations Tony Hucker said the girl suffered injuries to her chest.

Inspector Michael Langsdorf urged drivers to drive carefully and always pay attention to their surroundings.

“I just want to remind everyone that we need to work together for road safety,” said Inspector Langsdorf.

“This applies regardless of whether you are driving a vehicle, walking on a sidewalk, or riding a bicycle or scooter.”

The latest incident occurred after a woman was fined $250 after her vehicle struck an e-scooter rider on the driveway of her home.

The incident occurred in March outside her home in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, near Emu Flat in southern Western Australia.

The driver of the scooter fell to the ground and injured her pelvis, while the 26-year-old woman was driving the vehicle and immediately rushed to her aid.

The woman pleaded guilty in Kalgoorlie Local Court on Monday to failing to provide her name or address following the incident.
