Shipping container supplier creates new headquarters and jobs in Charleston County

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – A global supplier of used shipping containers will expand its operations and open a new headquarters in downtown Charleston.

Eveon Containers says its new office in the Holy City will house marketing and customer support teams and support the company’s online platform as it continues to expand globally.

“As we toured various cities, Charleston stood out for the strategic importance of its port, emerging digital corridor and distinctive charm,” said Aad Storm, CEO of Eveon. “These factors were key to establishing our office and opening our headquarters here. As part of our expansion, we moved our customer service team from the Northeast to Charleston to ensure the Lowcountry’s signature Southern hospitality is delivered to our customers across the country.”

The company’s investment will create 25 new jobs over the next five years.

“Congratulations to Eveon on its continued investment in Charleston County,” said Governor Henry McMaster. “By expanding its North American headquarters and creating new jobs, the company further positions itself as a global leader in logistics and technology.”

The new headquarters will be located in the Cigar Factory on East Bay Street, according to a press release from the governor’s office. Operations are already underway.

Founded in Rotterdam, Netherlands in 2020, Eveon quickly expanded to the United States and Canada. The company offers 24/7 purchasing options for used shipping containers. The company provides sustainable construction, shipping and storage solutions to its customers across the country, including businesses, educational institutions and government agencies.
