RIVERHEAD, NY — There were polkas, pierogi and an overwhelming sense of love and pride this weekend as Riverhead hosted two Polish festivals.

The two-day event saw crowds flock to downtown Riverhead to enjoy food, music, dancing, vendors and more.

For the first time since 2019, the Polish Town Civic Association hosted the popular Polish Town Fair and Festival in Riverhead.

According to the civic association’s website, the event, which took place in Polish Town on both Saturday and Sunday, included appearances by the Queen of Poland, a Polish wedding and parade at noon, delicious Polish food, a Polish car show, polka music, children performing traditional folk dances, a DJ, live music, numerous vendors and more. There was also a party under the tent on Saturday night.
