15-year-old from Wakulla dies after “serious” car accident last Wednesday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The 15-year-old girl who was seriously injured in a car crash last Wednesday has died, according to her cousin and softball coach Sally Wheeler.

The teenager was a passenger in a car with a 17-year-old driver who swerved to avoid rear-ending the car in front of him, resulting in a multi-car crash. The teen driver was in critical condition after the accident.

Wheeler said her cousin was a sweet and quiet young lady who loved school and was very active in the field. She said the teenager was very involved in the local church in Wakulla County, River of Life.

Wakulla High School posted a statement on Facebook in memory of the teenager.

The Wakulla High School softball team also released a statement on Facebook, saying, “The Parker family is so grateful for all the support shown during this tragic time. We ask for continued prayers in the days to come.”
