Rod Stewart assures his fans that he is “not dying as far as I know”

Not long after he said In a recent interview he said he knew his days were numbered, Rod Stewart had to postpone or cancel several shows due to a sore throat and COVID-19. But Rod, 79, assures his fans that he is fine and secretly has no health issues.

In conversation with The sun, Rod clarifies: “I seem to have been completely misunderstood in this interview. When I said, ‘My days are numbered,’ I was joking. Aren’t all days numbered? I am in embarrassingly wonderful health and enjoying life to the fullest. As far as I know, I am not dying.”

Rod then repeats something else he said in the first interview: he is training to try to break the world record for a man his age in the 100-meter dash. In addition, he stresses that he trains three or four times a week and adds: “I have done over 70 shows around the world this year and there are still more to come.”

The singer continued: “I have a wonderful wife, eight children and three grandchildren. Life is good and I have a lot to live but I could still get hit by a number 9 bus on Charing Cross Road next week. All our days are numbered but we just don’t know when.”

He calls the show cancellations “extremely unfortunate,” but points out that he has already rescheduled two of them and will return to Las Vegas next year.
