With the range of highly accurate commercial aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator growing month by month (recent examples include the Fenix ​​A319 and A321), there has never been a better time to be a commercial aircraft simmer at MSFS.

This is accompanied by an effort to further increase the realism and immersion of the game through a selection of additional add-ons that can make the experience even greater, such as the one we are introducing today: RealACARSwhose aim is to increase the realism of virtual flight operations.

Currently in open beta, RealACARS simulates the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) used in real-world aviation, bringing a new level of authenticity to the airliner simmer experience!

RealACARS offers several features to simulate this unique real airline communication system:

• Operational reports: Users can receive various simulated messages, including:
  • Provisional and final loading lists
  • Take-off and landing reports
  • Notifications of possible aircraft changes
  • Updates on connecting flight schedules

• Warnings about real events: The add-on provides alerts about real-world events that could affect flights, such as:
  • Space launches
  • Natural disasters

• Aircraft compatibility: RealACARS is compatible with various aircraft that support Hoppie ACARS integration, including:
  • Fenix ​​A320
  • FBW-A32NX
  • PMDG 777
  • TFDi MD-11
  • Leonardo’s Maddog X

RealACARS even includes an option for random “funny messages,” although the developers don’t explain exactly what kind of humor you’ll get in this case.

RealACARS is currently in open beta, so please be aware that bugs and issues may occur occasionally. Future plans for RealACARS may include additional features such as de-icing reports after using GSX de-icing and fuel receipts synchronized with GSX ground services.
