New Delhi: Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 is a box office hit. The horror comedy, directed by Amar Kaushik, is the sequel to Stree (released in 2018) and the fifth installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe. This time, the 37-year-old actress takes on a headless ghost named Sarkata. But do you know who played this hotly debated character? Well, let us enlighten you.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the role of the antagonist has been played by Sunil Kumar, who is often referred to as the ‘Great Khali of Jammu’. You will be amazed to know that he is 7 feet 1 inch tall in real life. Yes, you read that right.

Sunil is reportedly a constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police and is also fond of wrestling. It is said that he was chosen for the role because of his height and physique. His body shots were used in the film while Sarkata’s face was computer generated.

Stree 2 Box Office Collection

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Stree 2 has already collected Rs 322.5 crore worldwide within days of its release and the figure is expected to increase further in the coming days. The film also stars Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana in lead roles.

Produced jointly by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Stree 2 was released in theatres on the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day on Thursday (August 15, 2024) alongside Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Stree 2 is currently leading the trio by a wide margin.
