Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes wrote a post on his official WhatsApp channel the day after his team’s 1-1 draw with Mallorca. Although some suspected this post was fake, Rodrygo’s camp confirmed that this was not the case and said that the post was deleted after people “misinterpreted” it. Here is the content of the post.

“Hi guys, yesterday the result was not what we wanted. In La Liga every point makes the difference in the end. I am happy with the goal and the team’s evolution. Last week they talked about the trio of Bellingham, Mbappe and Vini, but they will have to add the R of Rodrygo to that acronym. We have a quartet of attackers and the rest of the team. They all have their importance in the games and will show their value in the different competitions we participate in. The week will be full of hard work until our next game at the Bernabeu.”

Rodrygo addressed some Spanish media outlets that had dubbed Real Madrid’s new offensive after Bellingham, Mbappe and Vinicius “The BMV”. Rodrygo was not mentioned in this acronym, nor did he appear in the headlines and front pages after Real Madrid won the UEFA Super Cup.

The Brazilian attacker deleted this post from his WhatsApp channel after seeing that it had caused controversy on social media such as X or Instagram.
