The world’s hairiest girl transforms after shaving her face for the first time

A teenager who was officially named the hairiest girl in the world has started shaving her face and is now married.

Supatra “Natty” Susuphan from the Thai capital Bangkok shows her recently hair-free face on social media.

The 17-year-old lives with the extremely rare Ambras syndrome, also known as werewolf syndrome.

The genetic disease, which has affected only about 50 people worldwide since the Middle Ages, causes dense hair growth all over the body, with the exception of the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet.

Miss Susuphan, who was named the world’s hairiest teenager by the Guinness Book of Records in 2010, underwent laser treatment as a child, but it did not work and her hair always grew back.

However, she has now announced her marriage on social media and published photos showing her without facial hair.

Her father Samrerng said that she was still not cured but had only started shaving her face.

Her social media feed suggests that she is now happy with her unnamed husband.

“You are not just my first lover, you are the love of my life,” she wrote online.

Miss Susuphan always tried to stay positive, even when she was bullied at school because of her illness and called names like “Wolf Girl” and “Chewbacca.”

“I don’t feel any different from anyone else and I have a lot of friends at school… Being hairy makes me special,” she previously told Guinness World Records: “
