The celebration of Amar Kaushik’s hit horror comedy ‘Stree 2’ was a lively affair, as recent photos and videos reveal. In a new clip, Tamannaah Bhatia, Kriti Sanon and Shraddha Kapoor lit up the dance floor with their energetic performances at the success party. Directed by Kaushik, ‘Stree 2’ has achieved a remarkable milestone, grossing over Rs 200 crore in its first five days.
To celebrate the film’s remarkable box office success and numerous record-breaking feats, the team of Stree 2 threw a lavish celebration. A recently surfaced video shows Tamannaah Bhatia, Kriti Sanon and Shraddha Kapoor dancing to the song Aaj Ki Raat, with Tamannaah leading the hookstep and the others joining in. Sunny Kaushal is also seen in the video.
In another video, Tamannaah Bhatia, elegantly dressed in a black dress, is seen dancing and her boyfriend, actor Vijay Varma, cheers her on with enthusiastic whistles. In the clip, Shraddha Kapoor is also seen bowing in honour of Tamannaah, after which the two actresses share a warm hug. The videos also feature director Amar Kaushik, actors Abhishek Banerjee and Radhika Madan enthusiastically cheering for Tamannaah Bhatia and the other actresses. Vijay Varma joins the celebration and dances alongside Tamannaah and the rest of the group.
Earlier, stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania had posted a collection of photos of Dinesh Vijan, producer of Stree 2 and head of Maddock Films, enjoying the party. The celebration was marked with a cake with the inscription, “Wo stree hai, wo kuchh bhi kar sakti hai” (She is Stree, she can do anything).
Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the film, which released on August 15 against Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, has emerged as a clear favourite with the audience. In just five days, it has collected Rs 228 crore at the domestic box office, far surpassing the collections of the other two films.
Continuing the story of Amar Kaushik’s 2018 hit Stree, Stree 2 expands the horror comedy universe created by Dinesh Vijan. This film universe also includes Bhediya and Maddock Films’ earlier surprise hit Munjya. The sequel stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. The story is about a group of friends led by Rajkummar Rao’s character Vicky, a tailor. Their town Chanderi faces a new threat from the villain Sarkata and they seek Stree’s help to defeat him.
