From Homecare Hospice,

OLEAN –DANCE ARTS hosts a dance performance every two years to raise funds for the HomeCare & Hospice Foundation. Since the first show in 1983, the proceeds from these performances have traditionally been donated to a non-profit organization. This year’s event was held on June 7th.th and 8th in the Olean High School auditorium.

“When we hosted the first performance, it was suggested that we donate a portion of the proceeds to a local nonprofit. What a wonderful idea – showcasing the dancers’ talent to the community while supporting a good cause,” explained Marcia Gallineaux-Hubert, owner of DANCE ARTS.

Event volunteers and HomeCare & Hospice staff also helped set up and run the refreshment stand after both performances.

Sarah Negron, Agency Relations Coordinator, added: “What a fantastic concept – our staff and volunteers helped with refreshments at the concert and in return our foundation received funds.”

DANCE ARTS, 132 N. Union Street in Olean, offers classes for all ages, from acrobatics, jazz, ballet, pointe, tap, modern dance and musical theater. The next DANCE ARTS Biennial will be held in June 2026. For more information about DANCE ARTS, visit www.danceartsolean.com or call (716) 307-6988.
