“DWTS” winner Bobby Bones defends his title after diss from Julianne Hough

Dancing with the stars winner Bobby Bones defends his title after Julianne Hough called him “not the best dancer.”

Hough, 36, co-host and former dance pro on the show, shared her true feelings about Bones, 44, in the Sunday August 18 edition of What’s happening live with Andy Cohen. When a viewer asked if there had ever been a winner that Hough “completely disagreed with,” Hough’s guest star colleague replied Mickey Guyton quickly intervened and called Bones.

“I actually agree with you,” Hough told Guyton, 41, adding of Bones’ 2018 win, “And I think it’s because of the fan base. This show is all about the fan base. He wasn’t the best dancer.”

On Monday, August 19, Bones published a response via Instagramcalled Hough “great” and agreed with her assessment of his talent.

“I was the worst dancer. I’m proud of that,” he said. “I tried as hard as anyone in the history of the show, but I can’t dance now, and I couldn’t then either.”

“But you know who defeated the big bad dance empire? Well, it’s not evil, it’s not an empire, it’s me and you! We did it together,” Bones told his followers. “I’m the greatest champion of all time. I didn’t say I was the greatest dancer, I said I was the greatest champion of all time. I’m the man of the people. I’m the man you chose. But Mickey Guyton, huh? Julianne Hough, you’re cool.”

He added: “I’m a terrible dancer, I was a terrible dancer, but they changed the rules after I left because the fan vote was so good.”

Bones and ballroom professional Sharna Burgess won Dancing with the stars Season 27 based on the viewer vote, despite receiving lower ratings from the judges than his fellow finalists. Disney Channel Actor Milo Mannheim Second place went to, followed by Harry Potter actress Evanna Lynch in third and influencer Alexis Ren in fourth place.

Hough took part in DWTS from season 4 to season 8 (which aired between 2007 and 2009) and later returned as a judge from 2014 to 2017. Her brother, Derek Houghwas also a pro partner of the ABC series for several years and is currently Bruno Tonioli And Carrie Ann Inaba.

During their WWHL In addition to her performance, Hough also addressed the public perception of her career.

“I think because I do so many different things, I’m a little confusing,” Hough admitted. “People ask, ‘What does she do? Does she dance, is she a singer, is she an actress, what does she do?’ But I think I’m a storyteller. And I think inherently everything I do is storytelling, whether it’s through my body, my voice or my acting.”
