Colts activate DT Raekwon Davis from active/non-football ailments list, sign C Mike Panasiuk and LB Mike Smith Jr.; place C Ryan Coll on injured list, release injured G Josh Sills

Indianapolis – The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent center Mike Panasiuk and undrafted free agent linebacker Mike Smith Jr. The team activated defensive tackle Raekwon Davis from the active/non-football related illness list. The Colts also placed center Ryan Coll on the injured list and waived injured guard Josh Sills. If Sills makes it off the waived list, he will be placed back on the Colts’ injured list.

Panasiuk, 6-3, 294 pounds, played in 10 games with the St. Louis Battlehawks in 2024 and earned All-UFL honors. He previously played for the Carolina Panthers (2020-21) and Las Vegas Raiders (2020). At the college level, Panasiuk played in 51 career games (41 starts) as a defensive lineman at Michigan State (2016-19), recording 100 tackles (40 solo), 18.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, six passes defensed, two interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. His last name is pronounced PAN-uh-sook.

Smith Jr., 6’1″, 225 pounds, appeared in five games at Baylor in 2023 and finished with 25 tackles (18 solo), 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and a pass defensed. He started all 12 games at Liberty in 2022 and led the team with 85 tackles (45 solo). Smith Jr. also added 10.0 tackles for loss, half a sack, five passes defensed, an interception and three forced fumbles. Prior to Liberty, he spent three seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast (2019-21), where he was named First Team All-MACCC South. Smith Jr. accumulated 248 tackles, 19.0 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Davis, 6-7, 325 pounds, was signed by the Colts as an unrestricted free agent on March 15, 2024. He played 63 career games (48 starts) over four seasons (2020-23) with the Miami Dolphins, totaling 129 tackles (60 solo), 6.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Davis appeared in two postseason games (one start) and recorded three tackles (one solo). He was originally selected by the Dolphins in the second round (56th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Alabama.

Coll, 6-5, 324 pounds, was signed as a free agent by the Colts on August 7, 2024. He entered the Atlanta Falcons’ 2024 offseason program after originally signing with the team as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2024. In his college career, Coll played 46 games (39 starts) at Richmond (2019-23). ​​He was named to the Division I FCS All-ECAC in 2023 and was a two-time First Team All-CAA selection (2022-23). ​​Coll began his career as a tight end before moving to the offensive line.

Sills, 6-6, 325 pounds, was acquired by the Philadelphia Eagles from Indianapolis on August 30, 2023. He has played in 18 games in his career. In 2023, Sills appeared in all 17 games for the Colts. As a rookie in 2022, he appeared in one game with Philadelphia after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2022.
