Browns place Hakeem Adeniji on the injured list and waive Matt Landers in roster changes
The Cleveland Browns added a new offensive tackle on Monday before their final preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks after having just used up their reserve offensive tackles. Among others, offensive tackle Hakeem Adeniji and Matt Landers were transferred.
However, these were just two of the moves the Browns made, and they also added two players to the roster. The starters will likely get a quarter of the playing time against the Seahawks, so they will need players they can use to get through their final preseason game. This came after three offensive tackles had to leave their preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Both left tackle Jedrick Wills and right tackle Jack Conklin have yet to return to the practice field. The expectation and hope is that both players will be back by Week 1 when the Dallas Cowboys come to town, but the depth behind them is now razor thin. And after a year in which James Hudson III and Geron Christian were forced to start a playoff game, that’s far from ideal.
Here are all four roster changes the Browns made on Monday:
