Hyderabad: Acting BRS president KT Rama Rao raised strong objections to the installation of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s statue at a site where the Telangana Thalli statue was originally supposed to be located. KTR said that the BRS government would remove Rajiv’s statue and rename several other places after coming to power: “It is an insult to the entire society of Telangana that Rajiv Gandhi’s statue is being erected where the Telangana Thalli During the ten years of BRS rule, we never considered changing the names of projects or schemes associated with politicians of other parties,” KTR told reporters on Monday.tnn
