Search for Angela Marisol Diaz, last seen in southeast Houston, is intensifying

This week’s episode of “Missing in Houston” highlights the heartbreaking case of Angela Marisol Diaz, who has been missing since July 1st.

Her father, Edward Diaz, searches tirelessly for her, but despite all efforts, including hiring a private investigator and contacting local authorities, Angela is still missing.

Edward spoke of the overwhelming emotional toll this has taken on his family, describing sleepless nights and constant fear as they continue to desperately search for answers.

“We have done everything in our power to find her, from talking to multiple news outlets to hiring a private investigator, but she is still missing,” Edward said.

According to her family, Angela’s phone was last located a few days after she was reported missing in a wooded area behind the Fitness Connection on I-10 East.

Her boyfriend reported that she was last seen at around 11:30 p.m. Monday at the Moonlight Inn and Suites on the Gulf Freeway, where she was supposed to meet someone. However, the last known location of her phone was near the wooded area, not the hotel.

Most recently, Angela was apparently with her boyfriend, but during the course of the investigation, inconsistencies in his story came to light.

“Your friend told us one thing, but then he changed his story,” Edward said. “It’s clear something is wrong, and it’s terrifying not knowing what really happened.”

The night Angela disappeared, Edward was out of town, but when he learned of her disappearance, he immediately returned to Houston to begin the search. He retraced her steps and drove to every location where her phone last beeped the night she disappeared.

“I haven’t slept. Every time they find a body, it’s nerve-wracking… we just want to bring her home,” Edward said, describing the overwhelming fear that has consumed him since Angela’s disappearance.

The case is currently being investigated by the Houston Police Department and the family is clinging to the hope that someone, somewhere, has the key to bringing Angela back home.

“The police have told us very little because it is an open investigation,” Edward explained, expressing frustration at the lack of updates.

“Angela has always kept in touch, even just to say she’s OK. It’s terrifying that we haven’t heard from her at all,” said Edward, emphasizing his daughter’s unusual and disturbing silence. “I haven’t slept properly since she disappeared. Every time there’s a news story about a dead body, my heart stops. I just want her to come home.”

The family was also not always satisfied with the information they received.

“Please, if anyone knows anything, help us. We’re running out of options and time,” Edward pleaded, hoping someone would come forward with information that could help bring Angela home.

Angela is described as a 22-year-old woman, 5’7″ tall, 130 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and light brown skin. She has prominent tattoos, including one on her hand and a key tattoo under her ears.

Houston police are still investigating the case, but for Edward and his family, the wait is torture. Their appeal to the public is simple: If anyone has information about Angela’s whereabouts, now is the time to come forward.
