Hawk Tuah girl reveals she turned down rapper after he asked her out on a date

Haliey Welch, better known as “Hawk Tuah Girl,” claims she turned down a well-known rapper after he asked her out on a date.

The influencer rose to unexpected fame earlier this year after she was asked in an interview to name a movement that drives men “crazy.”

Welch said, “You have to give them the ‘Hawk Tuah’ and spit on the thing. You know what I mean?”

“This thing” refers to a leather boot that you spit on to really polish it. Many people go “crazy” because it shines so well.

Since that moment, Hawk Tuah has never disappeared from the limelight and has met many celebrities over time.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Welch talked about her love life.

She claimed that rapper Yung Gravy sent her a direct message and asked her out on a date.

“He wants to go out with me. I was like, ‘Nah, I don’t know about that,'” she told the outlet.

Many fans flocked to Twitter following the announcement.

“Getting messed around with by the ‘Hawk Tua Girl’ is so embarrassing omg,” one person wrote.

“Wow, a date proposal from Yung Gravy via DM – such a groundbreaking moment! Who knew jumping into DMs could be so revolutionary?” a second added sarcastically.

And a third commented: “Lol that’s wild.”

UNILAD has contacted Yung Gravy’s representatives for comment.

Last month, Welch unexpectedly spoke to her celebrity crush in an interview on Whitney Cummings’ weekly podcast Good for you.

It started with Welch saying her crush was comedian Matt Rife and Cummings happened to be a buddy of Rife’s.

Eventually, they set up a FaceTime meeting with their crush so Welch could meet her celebrity crush.

This led to Rife inviting Welch to one of his shows in Nashville.

“I’ll be in Nashville on August 24th at the Bridgestone Arena. Do you want to come?” he said.

As expected, Welch accepted the invitation.

Haliey has had other celebrity encounters as well: she performed on stage with country music star Zach Bryan and was invited to throw out the first pitch at a New York Mets game.

However, fans were not particularly impressed by the decision.

One wrote: “All the kids at baseball games ask their parents and friends what that girl did to get the right to throw out the first pitch? Do better, MLB!!! This is not a role model!”

Haliey later explained that she was at the game to raise awareness for the nonprofit organization America’s VetDogs, which provides trained guide dogs to injured veterans.
