Haunting final words of a three-year-old girl who died in a plane crash that killed 62 people

All of Brazil is mourning the 62 people who lost their lives in a plane crash on Friday (August 9).

VoePass Flight 2283 was en route to Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo when the aircraft entered a spin and eventually crashed.

The crash in a residential area of Vinhedo killed 58 passengers and four crew members.

Three-year-old Liz Ibba dos Santos was the youngest child to lose her life on that tragic day last week while travelling on a plane with her father, Rafael Fernando dos Santos.

Despite her ongoing grief, Liza’s mother Adrian Libba spoke to Brazilian broadcaster Fantastico.

“That was my greatest love and I lost it,” she told the outlet.

Libba shared the last audio file she received from her little daughter.

In it, Liz could be heard saying, “Hi, Mommy, I’m on the plane,” and then blowing her mother a kiss.

Libba also recalled the moment she heard about the plane crash and admitted that she feared the worst.

“I think I knew it. A mother senses that, doesn’t she? I lost the best part of me. The most beautiful part. She was happy, she loved hugs and kisses,” she said.

The Brazilian federal police have now launched an investigation into the crash, but no timeframe has been given for releasing further news.

The plane’s flight recorder was found and recent flight data revealed some new details.

Many who were involved in the crash in one way or another have spoken out following the tragedy.

Adriano Assis was supposed to take the ill-fated flight, but was not allowed on board due to a delay.

After a mix-up in the flights, Assis was told he was too late to board the VoePass plane.

“The guy said I couldn’t get on board because there was still an hour until boarding,” Assis recalled to Brazilian news channel G1.

“At that moment I argued with him and stuff, and that was it, and he saved my life.”

Emotionally, Assis added: “He did his job, because if he hadn’t done that, I might not be doing this interview today.”

Moments after the tragedy, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said in a video shared on Twitter: “I want everyone to stand up so we can observe a minute of silence because a plane with 58 passengers and four crew members has just crashed in the city of Vinhedo, in São Paulo, and it seems that they all died.”
