Fast-killing Warzone LMG to replace STG44 meta in Season 5 Reloaded

Warzone’s STG44 assault rifle has dominated since its release with the Season 5 update, but there’s a high chance its reign will end with the Season 5 Reloaded update, and a powerful LMG is ready to take its place.

With each seasonal patch, weapons are significantly buffed and nerfed, and Season 5’s mid-season update on August 31 should be no exception. While we don’t know what exactly will change, I’d be surprised if STG and Static-HV aren’t permanently removed from the meta; it’s nearly impossible to beat these weapons with other weapons.

Any weapon could take its place with the right buff, but if the TAQ Eradicator LMG remains untouched and has the best position to be the best weapon in the game.

What makes the TAQ Eradicator so powerful is its consistent TTK at long range. Currently the STG outperforms it within 37 meters, but the Eradicator kills much faster over that distance.

The TAQ Eradicator has a consistently fast TTK.

STG nerfs will likely focus on melee damage, which would give weapons like the TAQ Eradicator a chance to take over the meta.

The only problems are that the recoil is hard to control compared to the STG and you need to make sure you have a powerful submachine gun for close combat.

Players on Reddit have also highlighted the BAL-27 assault rifle as a possible contender due to its balance between damage and low recoil.

Normally I would expect a new weapon introduced with the update to dominate the meta, but Season 5 Reloaded doesn’t bring anything that could. The only new weapons are the spear melee weapon and a compound bow called the Torque 35.

While the Torque 35 Launcher could be deadly in the right hands, it will likely remain a niche weapon ignored by meta chasers.

Of course, it’s hard to predict what the Season 5 Reloaded meta will look like, but thanks to its fast long-range TTK, I’m betting that the TAQ Eradicator will be a dominant choice ahead of the Black Ops 6 beta on August 30th.
