News from Gujarat: 4-year-old girl crushed to death by car in posh residential complex in Mehsana
A shocking incident was reported on Monday from a posh residential complex in Mehsana district of Gujarat in which a four-year-old innocent girl was crushed to death by a Tata Nexon.
The girl was riding her bike in Sparsh Villa Society in Mehsana. Suddenly a car came from the front and the girl lost her balance and fell off the bike.
Even when the car noticed that the girl had fallen onto the road, it did not stop and ran her over. The girl died at the scene of the accident.
The incident was recorded by a surveillance camera.
The young girl was identified as Disha Patel.
Following a complaint from the girl’s parents, the police have filed a complaint.
However, according to media reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far.
Police are attempting to identify the driver using video surveillance footage and are investigating the case further.
Recently, a similar tragic incident was reported from Agra district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, where a one-and-a-half-year-old girl named Rudrika was run over by an SUV (sport utility vehicle) in the parking lot of Cosmos Mall.
This incident, which occurred on August 6 at around 10 p.m., was also captured on video and widely shared on social media.
The video shows how the girl’s parents became distracted while operating a shopping cart and accidentally left their two children unattended.
The little girl ran into the parking lot and was suddenly hit by the SUV whose driver had not noticed her.
In another shocking incident on Saturday, an 18-year-old boy lost his life when the outdoor unit of an air conditioner fell on him from the second floor in central Delhi.
The deceased, identified as Jitesh (18), a resident of Doriwalan, was rushed to the hospital. However, he was declared brought dead.
His friend Pranshu (17), a resident of Patel Nagar in Delhi, was also injured in the incident.
The video of the incident, which took place on Saturday around 7 pm on the premises of Desh Bandhu Gupta police station, went viral on social media platforms.
