Milla Jovovich has grown old very quickly!
It’s amazing what 13 years of fighting zombie hordes can do to your skin.
Milla Jovovich, the star of the long-running Resident Evil film series, posted a photo of herself in advanced age makeup on Instagram on Wednesday. Jovovich, 39, will play the tough soldier Alice in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which is due to be released in 2017 and marks the end of the successful series.
She wrote on Instagram that her character’s make-up took over four hours. And the reason for this is easy to see: If you look closely at the photo, you can see fine and very lifelike skin prostheses as well as painted-on moles and veins.
The Resident Evil The franchise is one of the most reliable and lucrative series of the 21st century, having grossed more than $900 million worldwide.
The first part of “Resident Evil” is based on the video game of the same name and was released in 2002. It was directed by Paul WS Anderson, who was involved in all five parts in some form and returns to the director’s chair for “The Final Chapter” (he and Jovovich married in 2009).
The films tell the story of a dystopian future in which a pharmaceutical company called The Umbrella Corporation produces biological weapons that trigger a zombie apocalypse. Alice, a former Umbrella employee, leads the fight against the evil corporation.
Fast and Furious Star Michelle Rodriguez appeared in both the first and fifth films, while Ali Larter appeared in three of them, including the final four.
“The Final Chapter” promises to conclude the franchise with a desperate, open battle that pits Alice and old allies against new zombies and deadly mutants.
