Girl from Telangana asks for financial help for her mother’s last rites, KTR intervenes

(MENAFN- Live Mint) A young girl from Nirmal district of Telangana who sought financial assistance for her mother’s last rites on Sunday, August 18, is receiving help from an unexpected quarter.

The girl asked her neighbors in the village for financial help to perform the last rites for her mother, who had committed suicide due to her financial problems.

The girl hails from Bale Taroda village in Tanur mandal in Nirmal district of Telangan.

After the young girl’s father died of illness, the family struggled with financial difficulties. Her mother also committed suicide by hanging herself because she could not cope with the strain.

Due to these simultaneous incidents, the girl was left with no choice but to seek help from her neighbors to perform the last rites for her deceased mother. Seeing the young girl’s struggle, the villagers came to her aid.

Meanwhile, Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) Chairman KT Rama Rao reacted to this heartbreaking incident and assured financial assistance to the young girl as soon as possible.

“I spoke to our BRS leaders of Mudhole constituency as soon as I saw this video (of the begging girl). They will immediately take care of the young girl,” KTR said in a post on X.

KT Rama Rao is a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Siricilla constituency. He is also the incumbent President of Bharat Rashtra Samithi.

In a separate post on X, KT Rama Rao said that the village leaders have provided her with an interim financial assistance of Rs 10,000. He also promised that he would personally talk to the girl and help her.

“Our local leaders led by Dr. Kiran Komrewar have met the child and given her Rs 10,000 as emergency aid. I will personally speak to the child and work out a plan on how we can help her build a secure future,” he wrote on X.

Replying to KT Rama Rao’s post, Abhilasha Abhinav, the district collector of Nirmal district, assured on August 18 that the young girl’s education would be provided as per official procedures.

“Dear Sir,

The district administration has already contacted the child this afternoon. Her education is being conducted as per the rules. We are all with her during this difficult time. Currently, her Peddamma is staying with her. Thank you,” she wrote on X.
