Ford is offering a limited number of Mustang 60th Anniversary packages in Brittany Blue. Only 1,965 of the 2025 Mustang 60th Anniversary Edition will be produced in honor of the 1965 model. Customers must register at Ford.com. Those selected for the special color will be notified via email. The other colors available are Wimbledon White, Race Red and Vapor Blue.

Brittany Blue was not originally offered as a color for the Mustang. It first appeared in 1967, but is considered a classic Mustang color.

“Mustang has been successful for 60 years by taking risks and offering customers something a little different, a little more special than anywhere else,” said Joe Bellino, Mustang brand manager. “By releasing a color like this, we’re giving our customers a chance to distinguish themselves among the select ranks of Mustang 60th Anniversary owners.”

Original Ford Mustangs from 1964½

Lee Iacocca tasked his designers with creating an affordable four-seater that would appeal to both men and women. The legendary Ford Mustang was introduced on April 17, 1964, and soon went into production. It was initially built as a hardtop and convertible, with the fastback following later. The original vehicles all received 1965 chassis numbers because production began too late for the 1964 model year. The Ford Mustang is considered one of Iacocca’s greatest achievements. The Mustang founded the pony car segment.

Ford offers owners of the 2024 Mustang a digital retro instrument cluster

To continue the Mustang’s 60th anniversary celebration, Ford is offering 2024 Mustang drivers the option to swap out the vehicle’s digital instrument cluster. The new retro digital instrument cluster replicates the 1999-2001 Mustang SVT Cobra and will be available via a software update. The retro instrument cluster features the classic white dials during the day and illuminates the instrument cluster in ice blue at night.

Any 2024 Mustang customer who has automatic software updates enabled and set to a recurring schedule in the Software Update Settings menu should be able to access both the new cluster and an earlier 1967-68 digital instrument cluster released earlier this year.
