Jairzinho Rozenstruik believes the fight for the UFC title is within reach

Jairzinho Rozenstruik hasn’t been able to make an impact when facing the UFC’s elite heavyweights, but he believes he can prove he’s learned from his mistakes in the Octagon. During the post-fight press conference at UFC 305, Rozenstruik revealed how close he is to a shot at the UFC heavyweight title (via MMAJunkie.com).

“I definitely think that one more win is enough and then I’ll look for rematches. Whoever is in the top five and who I’ve already fought, I would fight them again, beat them and I’d be eligible for the (title) fight,” Rozenstruik said at the post-fight press conference at UFC 305.

With his win over Tuivasa, Rozenstruik could move into the top 10 of the official UFC heavyweight rankings. Rozenstruik has lost fights to the likes of Curtis Blaydes, Ciryl Gane and Jailton Almeida. If Jairzinho gets the rematches he’s talked about and can turn the tables, he could challenge for UFC heavyweight gold as he would be a new face in title contention.

Rozenstruik has now won two fights in a row since suffering a submission loss to Almeida in May 2023. Whether “Bigi Boy” can make it to the top remains to be seen.
