Kinzinger and Michelle Obama new in the program – NBC Chicago

The 2024 DNC is taking place this week in Chicago and two more speakers have been added to the lineup for the event.

According to NBC News, former First Lady Michelle Obama will speak at the convention on Tuesday, the same evening that former President Barack Obama will take the stage.

Both Barack and Michelle Obama have spoken at the last four Democratic National Conventions; the former president also delivered the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston.

The theme of Tuesday’s convention is “A Bold Vision for America’s Future,” and there will be a ceremonial roll call vote by the 57 state and territory delegations.

Another speaker was added to the bill: Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a Republican, spoke at the convention and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris’s candidacy, according to CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Kinzinger, who served six terms in Congress, did not seek re-election in 2022 after voting to impeach Trump following the riots at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. He is currently involved in a number of projects, including the recent launch of the Republicans for Harris coalition.

Here is a list of other DNC speakers

-President Joe Biden

-Former President Bill Clinton

-Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

-First Lady Dr. Jill Biden

-Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker

-Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg

-Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi
