St. Barbara’s Greek Orthodox Church presents ODYSSEY ’24: A Greek Festival, its 42nd annual celebration of Greek food, music and culture. This 4-day party will take place August 30th and 31st and September 1st and 2nd at 480 Racebrook Road, Orange, CT, on the grounds of the beautiful Byzantine-style church.

This year’s festival features all things Greek, including a wide variety of delicious dishes, lively music, energetic dancing and a bustling Greek agora (market square). Enjoy classic Greek dishes like souvla, moussaka, gyros and spanakopita, or satisfy your sweet tooth with delicious Greek pastries. Learn how to make your favourite Greek dishes with live cooking demonstrations.

Explore the Greek marketplace with delicatessen, unique t-shirts, beautiful jewelry, handmade crafts and a selection of books. Immerse yourself in Greek culture and religion through informative presentations and tours of St. Barbara’s Church, accompanied by performances of liturgical music by the St. Barbara’s Choir.

Be entertained by the lively Greek dance performances of the ODYSSEY Dancers or learn the steps yourself with dance lessons offered on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Dance the night away to live music from The Hellenic Company and Grecian Nights on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Don’t miss your chance to win the grand prize of $10,000 in cash or one of four additional cash prizes in the drawing.

For 41 years, ODYSSEY has delighted visitors with a feast for the senses. Don’t miss Connecticut’s largest “Greek Party,” a Labor Day tradition! The festival is open August 30th and 31st, September 1st from noon to 10 p.m. and September 2nd from noon to 6 p.m. Admission is free. Free parking is available on-site, and a free shuttle runs throughout the day to additional free parking at the High Plains Community Center. The event takes place indoors and outdoors on 10 acres, weather permitting.
